The lecture emphasizes the grave consequences of spreading false information, as highlighted in a hadith by the Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.s.), which states that careless words can lead to severe punishments in the Hereafter. The speaker warns that sharing unverified news can destroy lives and reputations, urging the community to adhere to the Quranic principle of verifying information before dissemination. The importance of responsible communication is reinforced, especially in the digital age where misinformation spreads rapidly, potentially harming individuals and communities.

0:00 Dear friends, as-salamu alaykum.
0:03 Did you know about the hadith of Allah's Messenger (s.a.w.s.)?
0:07 That a person with words,
0:10 thus, will not pay any attention at all,
0:13 will earn great ranks in Jannah with the Exalted Creator.
0:19 At the same time, the Prophet (peace be upon him) informs us
0:23 that another person,
0:25 by uttering certain words,
0:28 will earn
0:29 the worst of the worst ranks in Jahannam.
0:31 punishments
0:33 And with those words that
0:35 are transmitted and spoken, he will not pay
0:38 any great attention.
0:41 This Hadith is authentic, recorded by Imam Bukhari in his Sahih,
0:52 similar to what is recorded by Imam Muslim, you find similar in Imam Tirmidhi, etc. All of this tells us about the importance of
0:53 calmness
0:55 the news we speak of
0:58 and especially what we transmit in the modern
0:59 era.
1:05 Hell
1:06 only by sharing
1:09 false content,
1:10 that will transmit something false on the internet,
1:14 that is
1:16 fabricated
1:17 etc.
1:18 A logical question arises as to why this is so?
1:22 Imagine
1:23 that in one sentence
1:26 Imagine that with one share,
1:27 with one click, you can literally ruin someone's life,
1:31 and it can be done.
1:33 Imagine that spreading
1:36 false
1:37 news,
1:39 that is, fabrications,
1:41 peripeteia,
1:42 etc.
1:44 That you actually destroy
1:45 the reputation of a certain person, the marriage of a certain person, the family of a certain person,
1:51 the entire family or to damage the reputation
1:56 of one community, one congregation, etc.
1:59 That is why the Prophet (peace be upon him)
2:02 Among other things,
2:03 therefore, he warned about how great
2:05 the sin is
2:07 to convey
2:09 words,
2:10 to convey matters, to convey
2:12 images in the modern age or anything else that is 100%
2:17 we are not sure if that is true,
2:20 that it has been verified.
2:23 Thus, the Prophet (peace be upon him) in another hadith says,
2:35 It is enough for a man to be considered a liar if he transmits only what he hears.
2:42 Just what he hears, what comes to you, falls on Fidu there, on that,
2:47 Facebook, Instagram, Efendi, this or that, so we share it further.
2:51 Because then we become part of that lie, part of that slander.
2:52 Who slandered the mother of the believers, Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her),
2:53 One person.
2:56 In this, the lies are rooted in the exalted Creator.
3:01 And this was indeed a historical lesson for the Muslims
3:05 that they needed to learn and never repeat again.
3:11 Namely,
3:12 why is all this being said? Just yesterday, news emerged that the Islamic community in BiH
3:18 plans to create some commemoration
3:20 in the emperor's mosque
3:22 for the slain
3:24 Hamneja.
3:25 Thus, this is a complete lie.
3:27 So, what is a total slander. It doesn't matter whether it was a lie,
3:40 whether it was slander, what matters is that many rushed to spread this news.
3:45 And that it found itself in the public eye, that people started discussing it,
3:47 but it was not planned at all,
3:48 nor was it announced,
3:49 nor was it organized,
3:51 etc.,
3:53 but simply uncritical
3:54 transmission
3:56 of news, without any reasoning taken into account,
3:59 Thus, it simply led to fitna that some eagerly awaited,
4:05 to use it as another reason to attack the Islamic community,
4:12 specifically targeting all imams, all professors,
4:15 and all, if you will, institutions of the Islamic community.
4:21 So, what you have is unfortunately very easy to verify. And this is a direct
4:32 violation of the Quranic principle. The Exalted Allah, Jalla Jalaluhu, says,
4:39 In translation to Bosnian, it says if an unjust person comes to you,
4:42 that is, if someone comes to you
4:45 and conveys something to you,
4:46 regardless of how they convey it,
4:48 The Quranic principle is, therefore, exalted is Allah, the Most High.
4:54 He commands us directly, therefore, to verify all news,
4:57 so that we do not remain naive,
4:59 that
5:01 I don't mean to be harsh,
5:03 but there are simply people who react
5:06 to every provocation,
5:08 to every piece of news,
5:10 they react,
5:11 instinctively,
5:12 emotional,
5:14 not to say it in another way.
5:16 So, this Quranic ayah,
5:19 where the Exalted Allah commands the verification
5:22 of news,
5:23 is actually taken as a
5:26 foundation of hadith discipline and terminology, Mustala' al-Hadith, that every news must be verified.
5:33 Every news.
5:35 Especially
5:36 that which pertains to faith, that which pertains to the Prophet (s.a.w.s.)
5:39 Regarding the fundamentals of faith, any kind of
5:43 Thus, concerning the reputation of the community, which relates to honor,
5:50 honor is sacred, a protected value that sharia actually safeguards.
5:55 And then you have people, who pray,
5:58 who claim to be God-fearing,
6:01 that they follow the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
6:03 But then you see them spreading
6:05 false news and participating
6:08 in the transmission of false news, and at the same time, it is also slander.
6:15 Because you participate in something you have not verified to be true.
6:21 Indeed, these are very serious matters.
6:24 For these hadiths of Allah's Messenger,
6:28 warn each of us, especially in modern times.
6:32 So, you know before
6:34 making any falsehood or gossip or conveying others' words,
6:39 it used to take time for news to spread. Today, not anymore.
6:44 Today, one click is enough,
6:46 one share, one specific comment, one specific like,
6:50 to actually destroy
6:52 someone's life, someone's family, to ruin reputations.
6:56 etc.
6:57 Therefore, it is very important to speak about these matters, to warn
7:04 about the danger
7:05 of lies.
7:07 Hypothetical
7:08 question,
7:09 would it be permissible to lie about the accursed shaytan?
7:13 What do you think, is it permissible for a Muslim to lie about the accursed shaytan?
7:18 If shaytan said this, if shaytan did that, and so on. It is the worst thing.
7:23 Of course, that is also forbidden.
7:25 Thus, a false accuser is considered a liar,
7:27 a slanderer.
7:29 A slanderer is regarded as a slanderer, regardless of being cursed,
7:31 regardless of who he is or what he is like.
7:38 You know, when such a situation arises,
7:41 just imagine,
7:43 what about slanders against people, against human beings,
7:48 who may not even be Muslims, they don't have to be Muslims,
7:51 But you may be attacking their dignity, attacking someone's life.
7:55 Whether these people are alive or dead, imagine what it is like for Muslims.
8:01 Only with slander against the leader of the Muslims have they done something.
8:07 Imagine what they do with slanders against the scholars.
8:09 of the Muslims,
8:11 How much harm is actually being done?
8:13 And you have some who don't even think about this.
8:17 But in reality, those clickbaits,
8:21 for likes,
8:22 for followers,
8:23 for, I don't know, whatever interests,
8:26 you have a situation where people, unfortunately, spread.
8:30 fake news
8:32 I remember, I spoke with people who easily spread it, so it's clear it's fabricated.
8:38 It's evident, especially in modern times, when you have AI.
8:42 It's very easy to manipulate, the worst thing.
8:46 And I ask one Hajrlinsan,
8:49 why are you spreading something that's a lie? That person surely didn't say that?
8:54 He says, I didn't make it up, I just relayed it. Thus, we become entangled in this jinn, or shaitan,
9:01 tangle
9:03 of spreading others' words, lies, slander, and so on. And this is what our faith strictly prohibits.
9:10 So, you have slanders being spread on Facebook. He said, Hasan on Sarallah,
9:15 We will conquer Mecca, we will conquer Medina, we will dig graves,
9:20 Omar and
9:22 they lie about people. So, that child,
9:27 the youngest child can verify that it is a lie, it is a slander.
9:31 And when such a person is shown that it is slander, that it is a lie, then,
9:37 spreading discord is the worst condemned act, it is ultimately a sin, then you have a comment below,
9:45 you know how, but they think that way.
9:48 You know, where people imagine they know what others think.
9:52 People, these are very dangerous sins.
9:55 These are very dangerous things. Or slanders,
9:58 It shows
9:59 certain
10:01 mausoleums and something, and it says, see, that's it.
10:05 You know, but no one pays attention that
10:09 it has been condemned even by those it is attributed to.
10:12 It would be the same if the extremists
10:15 did something, like killing people there, and someone accuses us, Muslims in Bosnia, of doing that. We have no connection to it.
10:23 You know, but come on, as our people say, justify the fool.
10:27 So, these are really, really serious matters. I appeal to myself, I appeal to all of you, may God grant you goodness, think well,
10:35 because all these Hadiths, this Quranic ayah that I mentioned,
10:38 In fact, it warns us
10:40 to be mindful of what we say.
10:43 In modern times, in this age of mass communication,
10:46 social media, we must be careful about what
10:50 we share.
10:52 That goal of ours, that thread, Allah will ask us about it. Without a doubt, whether we did something for good or we did it to mock someone, or we did it to diminish the honor of someone or some community or some institution,
11:06 including the institution of the Islamic community,
11:09 or we did it for some other reason. But the Lord of the worlds will also ask us
11:14 about
11:15 the accuracy of the information we conveyed.
